Port Hole Game Table

Inspired by the Cape, this Atlantic Workshop coffee table utilizes time-worn wood to showcase the fortitude of classic industrial design salvaged by artisanal care. An antique brass porthole has been installed atop a solid oak plank, exposing the warmth of the wood and the grit in the grain.

The hand carved legs come from a house that was being pulled apart in Osterville, Mass., and was in the Atlantic Workshop warehouse for 6 years before the oak top was discovered in a house in Provincetown. The porthole hails from a 1930s yacht that was docked in the same shipway as Ernest Hemingway's boat, Pilar, in Brooklyn New York.
