Originally born out of an event in Chatham, Mass. called "Sharks in the Park," which helped fund shark research for the Chatham Shark Center of the Great White Shark Conservancy.
This particular shark was created out of a section of a drawbridge in Chatham, Mass. which was built in the 1800s and dismantled in 2014. The Mitchell Bridge beams were run through a sawmill and then cut with a man-saw. The shark was stained with a drift-wood gray color and sanded smooth. Fashioned with heavy duty wall hanging wire in the back and sealed with four coats of poly, the shark is weatherproofed; suitable for hanging on a wall or stand, for indoor or outdoor installation.
A fun addition to anyplace in the home, from bar to kid room, or as a unique gift for an avid fan of "Jaws" the movie. 3' long x 1.6' wide.
